Making a Booking

- How do I make a reservation?

That's easy\! Just select your destination and enter your dates of travel, plus the number of guests and rooms required.

You can also be more specific by clicking on "Advanced Search" and selecting your preferred star rating, required facilities or even a specific hotel name.

Once you've found a hotel you want to book, you will need to put in your credit/debit card details. The reservation will be paid for at the time of booking, after which we will send you an email confirmation and voucher. All you have to do then is present the voucher to the hotel reception upon arrival.

- Which type of room should I book?

Once you choose the number of rooms and the number of guests, you will see a selection of available rooms that suit your needs and also comply with local health and safety requirements. For example, if you request a room for 2 adults, it will not be possible to accommodate 3 people (adults or children).

We cannot guarantee the configuration of the rooms. For example, if you have booked a triple room for 3 people, the room could be configured as three single beds or as a double and a single bed.

Please be aware that certain countries are subject to local customs and sensitivities. We are not liable for any changes in the result of bookings not complying with such habits or customs. Please refer to the Foreign Office website in order to seek guidance.

- What is the minimum age requirement to be able to book a room?

In order to make a reservation with Octopus Travel you must be at least 18 years of age (21 years in the USA). This is because the hotel has the right to refuse admission to travellers if there is no one in the party at least 18 years of age (21 years in the USA). Octopus Travel accepts no responsibility if the hotel refuses admission when guests are all under 18 years of age (21 years in the USA).

- What does the total price include?

The price you see is the total cost of the room(s) requested for the duration of your stay. If any meals are included, this is also reflected in the price. The price also includes service and local taxes.

In certain destinations resort fees and/or environmental taxes may not be included in the total cost as these are requested to be paid directly to the property on arrival

- Do you charge a credit/debit card fee?

No. We believe that the price you see should be the price you pay.

- Can I make a booking over the telephone?

Yes. Just contact our Customer Care Team who will be happy to place a booking for you.

The price quoted and charged will be the same as the price displayed on the website; however an offline booking fee may apply.

- I do not have an email address. Can I still book on your website?

If you do not have an email address, we can still place a booking for you. Please contact our Customer Care Team and they will make the reservation and post the documents to your postal address.

- Can I book on behalf of somebody else?

Yes. To book on behalf of somebody else, you can place the reservation online or via our Customer Care Team. Please make sure that the billing address you enter is that of the person paying for the booking, rather than the person(s) travelling.
